Key Responsibilities

• Assist with open heart procedures in a CVOR surgical environment.
• Support the surgical team as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CST FA).
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure the safety of patients during cardiovascular surgeries.
• Collaborate with surgeons and staff to facilitate smooth operation workflows.
• Prepare and manage surgical equipment and supplies.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards throughout procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with First Assist certification.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a CVOR Tech or in a similar setting.
• Ability to function effectively with open heart procedures.
• Flexibility to work day shifts.
• Strong understanding of surgical safety and sterile procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a hospital setting specializing in cardiovascular surgeries.
• Familiarity with the equipment and technologies used in CVOR procedures.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
