Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, including assisting with c-sections, epidurals, and newborn care.
- Support physicians with delivering babies, performing circumcisions, and drawing labs, starting IVs, and conducting non-stress tests (NSTs).
- Operate and utilize equipment such as fetal monitors, internal monitors, IV pumps, PCA and epidural pumps, blood pressure machines, glucometers, and electronic medical records.
- Follow established protocols to ensure patient safety and comfort during labor and delivery.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certifications such as ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, STABLE.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and Level I Nursery.
- Relevant certifications including BLS.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Level I Nursery care and postpartum nursing.
- Familiarity with Cerner Medical Record system and fetal monitoring equipment.
