Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate patient care in a Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility setting, ensuring quality delivery through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with other nursing staff and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and streamline clinic processes.
• Provide education to patients, families, and significant others regarding treatment plans and health management.
• Assist in supervising and guiding unit staff including secretaries, PCTs, CMAs, LPNs, and RNs.
• Maintain compliance with licensing standards and clinical protocols, applying age-specific and cultural considerations in care delivery.
• Support clinic operations by contributing to best practices and managing patient flow across the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Completed nursing education from an NLN-approved institution; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of charge nurse experience in a clinic or urgent care environment.
• Current Alaska Nursing License in good standing.
• BLS certification.
• Proficient in medical terminology, nursing processes, and patient care documentation.
• Strong communication, mathematical, and reasoning skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience working specifically in LTC/SNF environments.
• Ability to interpret diagnostic tests and administer treatments effectively.
