Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist in various surgical procedures within the operating room, including orthopedic, spine, neurosurgical, robotic, general, urology, and cardiovascular surgeries.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes through clinical expertise and adherence to protocols.
• Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment such as electrosurgical tools, Neptune suction systems, and patient positioning devices.
• Document patient care and procedural details accurately using Meditech documentation systems.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to facilitate efficient operative procedures.
• Follow unit-specific policies, guidelines, and safety standards to maintain a high level of quality care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee Nursing License.
• Current BLS certification.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of circulating experience in surgical settings.
• Endovascular experience required, with proficiency in procedures such as total joints, spine fusions, and neurosurgery.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neurosurgical, robotic, or cardiovascular procedures.
• Familiarity with advanced surgical equipment like the Synaptive Medical Modus V robotic digital microscope.
• Strong critical thinking and customer service skills.
