Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

• Evanston, IL

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Day shifts, 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide emergency care to a predominantly elderly patient population in a cardio-focused hospital environment
• Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill and medically challenged patients in the ER setting
• Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver timely and effective patient care
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and standards, including passing an initial EKG test on the first day
• Document patient conditions and care provided accurately in the electronic medical record system (Epic)
• Float within service lines and locations as needed, with some weekend and holiday shifts required

Required Qualifications
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
• CPR and ACLS certifications
• Valid NIH Stroke, PALS, TNCC, or TNS certification(s)
• At least 2 years of ER experience, with experience in critical care settings
• Ability to pass a required EKG assessment on the first day of orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Prior work in cardio or elderly care hospital environments
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends and holidays within a rare floating requirement
