Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between the Director of Nursing and nursing staff within a skilled nursing facility.
• Assist in supervising nursing activities to ensure quality patient care and compliance with physicians' orders and facility policies.
• Manage staffing schedules, payroll, and overtime authorization; participate in hiring, disciplinary actions, and staff evaluations.
• Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures to maintain compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
• Contribute to the development and management of the nursing department budget.
• Collaborate effectively with medical staff, administration, and other departments to foster a positive working environment.
• Assist in the orientation and ongoing education of nursing staff.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license and active CPR certification.
• Strong clinical and leadership skills with previous experience in a long-term care environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Dependable, organized, reliable with good attendance.
• 3-5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience; personnel management experience highly preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility.
• Familiarity with budget management and staff evaluation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to develop policies and procedures aligned with licensing standards.
