Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between the Director of Nursing and nursing personnel within the skilled nursing facility
• Supervise nursing activities to ensure quality patient care and compliance with physician’s orders and facility policies
• Manage staffing schedules, payroll, overtime, and assist with disciplinary actions and performance evaluations
• Assist in recruitment, staff orientation, and ongoing education of nursing staff
• Develop and update policies and procedures in compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements
• Support budget development and management for the nursing department
• Foster effective working relationships with medical staff, administration, other departments, and volunteer groups

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• CPR certification
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• 3-5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including personnel management
• Strong organizational skills and dependability
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to relate well with staff, residents, and colleagues

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility
• Experience managing budgets and policy development
• Effective leadership and staff development skills
