North Kansas City, MO

Schedule / Job Type:

Full-time, 13-week contract, night shifts (12-hour nights), with every other weekend required. Shift start is ASAP, with Tuesday orientation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER setting.
• Manage and prioritize multiple patient needs during night shifts.
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic charting system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Pass an EKG exam on orientation day, demonstrating proficiency in lethal rhythms.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain compliance with certification requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Missouri RN license or Compact license.
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (must be current at start date).
• Experience with Cerner charting system.
• Ability to pass an EKG proficiency exam with a score of 80% or higher.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working night shifts in an emergency setting.
• Knowledge of lethal rhythm identification.
• Strong charting and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations efficiently.
