Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit, focusing on both maternal and fetal well-being.
- Perform newborn care and monitor fetal status using advanced fetal monitoring techniques.
- Collaborate with medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during labor and postpartum care.
- Document patient progress accurately within the hospital's electronic medical record system.
- Maintain proficiency in neonatal resuscitation (NRP), ACLS, BLS, and AWHONN fetal monitoring protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
- Ability to pass an advanced dysrhythmia EKG assessment.
- Certification in NRP, ACLS, BLS, and fetal monitoring (AWHONN).
- Competency in using EPIC electronic medical record system.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit.
- Familiarity with the Louisville healthcare environment.
