Key Responsibilities
• Perform cardiac ultrasound scans, including bedside and departmental studies for inpatient and outpatient cases
• Conduct approximately 8-10 patient exams per day, focusing on adult and geriatric populations
• Participate in weekend rotation, typically every 6th weekend, including taking adult echo call responsibilities after hours
• May be required to work an 8-hour shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) during weekdays as needed
• Operate portable ultrasound equipment and assist with specialized procedures such as bubble studies, contrast agents, and RIT/RVOT assessments
• Collaborate with healthcare teams within a teaching hospital environment
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of three years of experience in a large tertiary care center or equivalent setting
• RDCS credential in adult sonography and BLS certification
• Proficiency with Phillips ultrasound equipment and EPIC electronic medical record system
• Ability to perform bedside studies and outpatient imaging procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with transesophageal echocardiography (TEEs) is a plus
• Strong skill set in advanced cardiac imaging, including contrast and bubble studies
• Willingness to work overtime or pick up additional on-call shifts, including rotating weekends
