Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, contract and temp-to-hire options available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for a variable patient population in a med-surg/telemetry unit with a focus on cardiac and neurology services
- Monitor and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias, including IV starts and telemetry management
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, utilizing hospital systems such as Epic and Pyxis
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and document patient care using SBAR communication protocols
- Adhere to safety standards, including passing EKG testing prior to start, and float as needed to other units
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a med-surg or telemetry setting
- Valid BCLS and NIHP certifications
- Experience interpreting dysrhythmias and managing patients with cardiac or neurological conditions
- Ability to work night shifts and accept variable schedules
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- First-time traveler experience accepted
- Experience with stroke, oncology, surgical, GYN, hospice, or cath lab patients
