Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within a busy, large hospital setting specializing in medical-surgical and behavioral health patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Demonstrate competency in nursing practices across all age groups and adhere to clinical standards.
• Float to all Medical-Surgical units across multiple campuses as needed to ensure optimal staffing.
• Utilize EMR systems and clinical equipment including telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, and infusion pumps.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, including safe mobility and behavioral management.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent nursing experience in a hospital with 250+ beds.
• Valid RN license in ND or a compact state.
• BLS certification from the AHA.
• Level 1 trauma experience and EPIC EMR experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with rotational scheduling, including every other weekend and holidays.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a busy hospital environment with large patient volumes.
• Experience handling behavioral health admissions.
• Knowledge of advanced monitoring equipment and multiple medical specialties.

Notes

• Candidates must be located within 80 miles of Fargo; travel rates are adjusted for those living 60-80 miles away.
• Previous employment with Sanford Health requires a minimum of 6 months since last working there.
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility and wear navy blue scrubs.
