Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for cardiac ICU patients during overnight shifts.
- Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed.
- Manage patient care with patient ratios typically 1:1.
- Administer IVs, monitor telemetry, ventilators, Swan-Ganz lines, and sedation.
- Support patients with balloon pumps and PICC lines.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver safe, effective care.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Cardiac ICU setting.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Proficiency in IV starting, telemetry, ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, and conscious sedation techniques.
- Experience with balloon pumps and PICC lines necessary.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with PICC lines and septic patient care.
- Ability to float within different ICU units.
- Strong critical thinking and patient management skills.
