Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: Clarkston, WA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 4-10 hour shifts, no shift specified
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and floating to various outpatient services including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, and Pre-operative Clinic.
- Monitor and assess patients' postoperative status, recognizing and responding to post-anesthesia and postoperative complications.
- Conduct peri-operative education and care, including pre- and post-surgical assessments.
- Administer conscious sedation and infusion therapies as needed for specialized procedures.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care during outpatient and surgical services.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
- Experience in PACU, peri-operative nursing, or related outpatient surgical care.
- Strong assessment skills and knowledge of post-operative complications.
- Ability to administer conscious sedation and infusion therapies.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience floating across outpatient surgical units such as Endoscopy, Day Surgery, or similar settings.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Excellent patient communication and critical thinking skills.
