Job Title

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process during scheduled shifts in the operating room.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs related to surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting all actions accurately.
• Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel in the perioperative setting.
• Meet patient and family education, discharge planning, and documentation standards specific to surgical care.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of two (2) years of current experience in a large operating room setting.
• Ability to scrub in surgical procedures.
• Valid nursing license in New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system (training available if needed).
• Specialization in Orthopedics, ENT, or Vascular surgery is a plus.
• Flexible team player accustomed to fast-paced environments.
