• Contract, 48-hour shifts, Nights, OT paid after 48 hours
Key Responsibilities
• Provide skilled nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions in a step-down unit
• Monitor and interpret EKG strips; demonstrate proficiency with telemetry equipment
• Administer IV medications and start IVs, including heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and insulin
• Assess patient condition and respond to changes in cardiac status according to protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control standards, including fitting for N95 masks when necessary
Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse license in Ohio
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent nursing experience in a Cardiac Stepdown or ICU with 1:5 patient ratios
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips; pass online tele-ECG competency assessment prior to start
• BLS, NIH stroke certification required; ACLS preferred
• Demonstrated experience with IV start and management of cardiac drips (heparin, nitroglycerin, etc.)
• Must have recent work history with specific 1:5 ratio experience in Stepdown or PCU units
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 cardiac units
• Travel nursing experience and floating capacity to various hospital campuses within the health system
• Ability to work every other weekend and holiday shifts

• RTO requests should be included with initial submittal; approval is at the discretion of management
• Traveler must be prepared to float to various units within the health system as needed
• This assignment is for a 13-week contract; cancellations may occur based on census or operational needs
