Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in a neuroscience/high-risk respiratory unit, managing a diverse patient population including CVA, TIA, seizures, and neuro patients.
• Collaborate within a team nursing model, partnering with RNs, LPNs, and PCTs to deliver quality patient care.
• Float between units as necessary, including neuro ICU and high-risk respiratory units, ensuring appropriate coverage and patient safety.
• Utilize ventilator management skills with heated high flow, BIPAP, and other respiratory support devices.
• Complete and pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to start.
• Document care using EPIC electronic health records.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio or eligible jurisdiction.
• Minimum 1:5 ratio patient care experience in Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Special Care setting (ICU experience does not count).
• Ventilator management experience.
• Must pass online EKG tele competency assessment before assignment.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke scale certifications.
• IV start experience preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience.
• EPIC EHR system proficiency.
• Ability to float across different units, including high-risk respiratory and neuro ICU.
