Registered Nurse PICU

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Days, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to pediatric ICU patients across various pediatric units, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, covering all pediatric units as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver high-quality, family-centered care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Document patient assessments and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in holiday and weekend rotations, including every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

• RN license for South Carolina or valid Multi-State/Compact License.
• Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience.
• BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association accepted).
• Ability to float across pediatric units.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ECMO and CRRT therapies.
• Open to candidates interested in a block schedule with manager approval.
• Prior pediatric critical care experience desired but first-timers considered if qualified.

Additional Notes

• Local candidates within 60 miles are preferred; exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis with a 10% reduction in bill rate.
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application and approved based on unit needs.
• The facility allows one call-off per two-week period.
• During hurricane season (June to November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed.
