Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and operation of cardiovascular surgeries within the CVOR setting.
- Support the surgical team by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile conditions are maintained.
- Operate and troubleshoot cardiovascular surgical tools and monitoring devices under the guidance of surgical staff.
- Maintain a sterile environment and assist with patient safety throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure smooth workflow during CVOR cases.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of relevant surgical technology training or certification.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a cardiovascular OR setting.
- Familiarity with CVOR equipment, including DaVinci robots and other surgical tools.
- Ability to float to general OR cases, with prior experience across multiple surgical specialties preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries, specifically with Xi DaVinci systems.
- Knowledge of all surgical specialties except transplant in a 13-room OR environment.
- Valid BCLS and NBSTSA certification.
