Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to primarily medical-surgical patients with Oncology history in a high-acuity environment.
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy IVs, PO medications, and injections following safety protocols.
- Perform wound care, manage surgical drains, chest tubes, PICC lines, and central lines.
- Monitor and maintain patient airway management, including nasal cannula and non-invasive ventilation.
- Follow isolation precautions and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare team using systems like EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR for documentation and communication.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient RN experience, with at least 1st-time traveler acceptance.
- Experience with Med/Surg, Oncology, and complex patient care procedures.
- Current nursing license in the state of North Carolina or applicable state.
- Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.
- Knowledge of blood product administration, port access, and IV therapy.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience or OCN certification.
- CPI certification.
- Experience floating to inpatient holding areas or alternate medical units.
