Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Oncology

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shift, Contract (13-26 weeks)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical oncology patients, managing complex diagnoses such as cancer, sepsis, and systemic infections.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other IV/injection treatments following proper protocols.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including central line care, wound care, chest tubes, and non-invasive airway management.
• Collaborate with healthcare team using systems such as EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR for documentation and communication.
• Float to similar inpatient units and alternative care locations as needed, including ED holding areas.
• Participate in storm/hurricane teams and provide care during disaster or mass casualty events.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient RN experience, including Medical-Surgical and Oncology.
• Experience with blood products, port access, PICC line management, and surgical drains.
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.
• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Certifications in BLS; OCN certification preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work night shifts, with a maximum of 7 days of RTO (request time off).
• Capable of floating and working in high-acuity environments.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Critical care experience (ICU/ER) is a plus.
• CPI certification and charge nurse experience are advantageous.
