Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shift (36-48 hours per week), 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15), possible 48-hour contracts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity obstetrical care to patients including intrapartum, antepartum, and postpartum management
• Perform routine outpatient procedures such as fetal surveillance, IV hydration, and medication administration
• Manage patient admissions, births (including scheduled and unscheduled C-sections), and rescue cervical cerclage
• Assist with double labor assignments and high-volume patient load (typically over 300 births per month)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, utilizing systems like EPIC and PYXIS
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during high-paced, busy shifts

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, with 3 years preferred
• Proven experience managing high-volume units (>300 births/month)
• Certified in BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP
• Skilled in circulating, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience conducting sterile vaginal exams and newborn assessments
• Prior OR circulating experience is highly preferred
• Flexibility to float as needed within a high-acuity maternity unit
