Key Responsibilities
• Assist with cardiovascular surgical procedures in the CVOR department, including complex cases such as aortic aneurysm repairs, CABG, and valve replacements.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring sterile and functional environments.
• Provide intraoperative support, including scrub duties and assisting surgeons during cardiovascular procedures.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and assist with patient positioning and equipment setup.
• Float between units as needed, supporting other departments within the facility based on qualifications and census.

Required Qualifications
• Valid Surgical Technologist certification from NBSTSA (CST).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVOR setting.
• Must have Level 1 Trauma experience.
• BLS certification.
• Experience assisting with cardiovascular surgeries such as aneurysm repairs, se integrations, and valve replacements.
• Ability to take call at least two days per week and 1-2 weekends every 6 weeks.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience with cardiovascular first assisting roles.
• Familiarity with advanced cardiovascular procedures and intraoperative support.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, trauma-level environment.
