Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality emergency care to adult patients in a Level 1 trauma and teaching hospital setting.
• Assess, develop, and implement patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and coordinate diagnostic testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, assisting with procedures and patient stabilization.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of recent emergency room nursing experience.
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in a Level 1 trauma or teaching hospital.
• Familiarity with adult emergency procedures and protocols.
