Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and adjusting specialized equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-treatment care, including surgical procedures and home care needs.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assist physicians, and respond to life-saving situations following nursing protocols.
- Record patient information accurately, including medical histories, medication administration, and vital signs, ensuring all documentation is complete and timely.
- Participate in discharge planning and other patient care coordination activities.
Required Qualifications
- Active Tennessee RN license or multi-state compact license (must be attached to resume).
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (must be attached).
- Minimum of 2 years recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a community hospital setting.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to adapt to shift work, including nights, with flexibility to float as needed.
