Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing care, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments specific to obstetric and gynecological patients.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions effectively to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and elimination.
- Circulate during cesarean sections, attend deliveries, and assist physicians as needed.
- Complete neonatal assessments post-delivery and monitor fetal well-being through fetal monitoring.
- Collaborate across disciplines for patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
Required Qualifications
- Current WY RN license or multistate license attached to resume.
- Must possess ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications (attached to submission).
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Level 1 nursery, postpartum, OB/GYN, or L&D/LDRP.
- Experience caring for OB/GYN patients, including post-op hysterectomy, antepartum, triage, labor, delivery, and postpartum.
- Ability to identify critical information for communication with physicians and patients.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a community hospital setting either permanently or through a contract.
- Certification in fetal monitoring or STABLE preferred; NRP certification required.
- Comfort with floating to other units as needed based on census.
