Full-time, night shifts, rotating holidays, weekday and some weekend coverage
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Stepdown units, floating as necessary to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Manage patient care for lower-to-moderate acuity patients, primarily in cardiac settings.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IV starts, telephonic and electronic documentation, and patient monitoring.
- Follow established protocols to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Adhere to unit standards and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU or stepdown experience
- Proficiency in IV starts and telephonic documentation necessary
- Ability to float between units of comparable or lower acuity levels
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in cardiac care preferred
- Experience with telehealth or electronic health records systems
