Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor and recognize changes in patient conditions, utilizing clinical judgment to report and respond appropriately.
- Provide patient education, explanations, and instructions to patients and their families.
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive department culture through professional communication and conflict management.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records in compliance with healthcare standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
- Valid CPR/BLS certification.
- ACLS certification preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a cardiac, respiratory, or telemetry unit.
- Ability to adapt to fluctuating patient acuity in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
