Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 13-week contract, night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to patients in a busy acute care setting, including med/surg and ICU units
- Administer medications, perform IV starts, and manage Foley catheters and wound care
- Monitor patient vital signs and utilize EMR systems to document care accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Assist with patient assessments, discharge planning, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies
Required Qualifications
- Valid LVN / LPN license in North Carolina
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of recent med/surg experience
- Experience with IV starts, wound care, and EKG monitoring
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ICU or step-down unit experience
- Prior experience with Electronic Medical Records (Cerner preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to changing patient needs
