Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Psychiatric Services department.
- Develop and update individualized, interdisciplinary care plans.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care strategies accordingly.
- Assess and utilize available resources to support patient recovery.
- Care for patients experiencing psychiatric conditions such as major depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder, psychotic disorders, and those requiring detoxification.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive mental health treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid State of Maine RN license
- Associate degree in nursing (or higher)
- BLS certification
- Current CPI training prior to start date
- At least 1 year of experience in mental health nursing
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Capable of managing stress and making decisions under pressure
- Flexibility to provide 24/7 coverage as needed
