Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures, including transplant, spine, vascular, and other complex surgeries in a main operating room setting
• Prepare and maintain sterile environments, assist surgeons during operations, and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Support the surgical team with equipment setup, sterilization, and post-operative procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient patient care during surgeries
• Comply with unit policies, safety protocols, and documentation requirements

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) certification
• DORA license, NBSTA, and NCCT certifications are mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience, preferably in transplant or vascular surgeries
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends, with call responsibilities
• Experience with procedures such as total joints, spine, transplants (kidney/liver), robotics, ENT, plastics, and vascular surgeries

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in transplant or spine surgeries
• Knowledge of Meditech electronic medical records system
• Experience working in high-volume, specialized surgical units
• Ability to adapt to new equipment and technology in a fast-paced environment
