Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for adult and geriatric ICU patients, including those with stroke, cardiac conditions, overdoses, and other critical needs.
• Manage ventilators, perform IV starts, and administer medications with precision, including titration of pressors and sedation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered interventions such as central line placements, bronchoscopies, and PEG tubes.
• Titrate and monitor advanced equipment like balloon pumps and CRRT for critical patients.
• Maintain compliance with ACLS and BCLS protocols, documenting patient responses and adjusting treatments accordingly.
• Float to other units such as MS/Tele, medical, surgical, or intermediate care units as needed, ensuring consistent quality of care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Illinois RN license or the ability to obtain licensing in Illinois (local license not accepted).
• At least 2 years of ICU experience, including ventilator management, pressor titration, and stroke patient care.
• Current ACLS and BCLS certifications.
• Proficiency in ventilator management, IV placements, and telemetry monitoring.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with balloon pumps, CRRT, and complex critical care procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays, with a positive team attitude.
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations.
