Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• Decatur, Illinois

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts (4x12 or 3x12 nights, 1800-0630)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive care to antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum patients in a 18-bed unit
• Assist with sterile speculum exams, fetal monitoring, and obstetrical triage
• Administer medications such as antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and prostaglandins
• Support high-risk deliveries, including assisting with vaginal and C-section births
• Monitor neonatal well-being using APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and post-delivery assessments
• Perform postpartum procedures including wound care, fundus, Lochia & perineal care, and patient education

Required Qualifications
• Valid Illinois nursing license or in application process with expected ETA
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in obstetrics or related high-risk units
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certification
• Experience with external and internal fetal monitoring, obstetrical procedures, and neonatal care
• Ability to perform IV therapy, medication administration, and manage labor & delivery emergencies

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in community hospital settings or Level I nursery
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic charting system
• Ability to float within scope to pediatrics as needed
• Flexibility to discuss and accommodate block schedule requests
