Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to Medical Surgical patients in a Level I trauma, magnet hospital setting.
• Manage PICC lines and starting IVs, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
• Float within scope as needed to meet patient care needs, including trach and laryngectomy patient care.
• Document patient findings and interventions using Cerner electronic charting.
• Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and wound care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Medical Surgical RN experience.
• Active IL Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with PICC line management and starting IVs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system.
• Willingness to learn and care for trach and laryngectomy patients.
• Flexibility to take on up to a 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio if needed.
