Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to ICU patients, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response management.
• Interpret dysrhythmias, manage arrhythmias, and obtain 12-lead EKGs.
• Assist with post-procedure care for cardiac catheterizations and interventions.
• Manage patients with chronic or acute renal failure, including IV therapies and line care.
• Administer and titrate emergency and cardiac medications, including vasoactive drips.
• Support ventilated patients, manage BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapies, and interpret ABGs.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license
• Minimum of 2 years’ ICU or CVICU experience
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response skills
• Experience with cardiac catheterization post-care and renal failure management
• Skilled in IV therapy, including arterial lines, blood products, and line management
• Ability to handle ventilated patients and advanced respiratory therapies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management
• Knowledge of infection prevention and PPE protocols
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Willingness to work a block schedule and every other weekend
