• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 or 4x12s)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide nursing care to oncology patients in a hospital setting.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage infusion therapies including IV pushes and continuous infusions.
• Monitor patient responses, recognize abnormal lab values, and communicate findings.
• Handle cytotoxic spills and ensure proper disposal procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Float within scope as needed to meet facility requirements.
Required Qualifications
• Active IL nursing license in good standing or in application process.
• Minimum 1 year of recent oncology nursing experience.
• Comfortable working nights with every other weekend on rotation.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including block scheduling discussions with management.
• No certification in Oncology Nursing required, but chemotherapy certification is preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Chemo certification (preferred).
• OCN and ONS/ONCC certifications (preferred).
• Experience with port management, central lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration.
• Knowledge of body fluid handling post-chemotherapy and spill disposal.
