- Full-time, days, 3x12 shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Electrophysiology Lab.
- Circulate procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, adult left and right heart catheterizations, and pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring.
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation ensuring patient safety.
- Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias during procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, including Cerner charting and Documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license in hand.
- Minimum 1 year of interventional cardiac cath lab nursing experience.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Experience in interventional procedures such as diagnostic and adult left/right heart catheterizations.
- Procedural sedation administration and monitoring skills.
- Cerner electronic medical record system experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Flexibility to float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Ability to work 2-3 weekends per contract.
- Experience with Dysrhythmia interpretation/management.
- Comfortable with call responsibilities rotating as needed.
