Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures within the Cath Lab/EP setting.
- Assist with equipment setup, procedural support, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias.
- Execute infection control protocols, including sterile technique and isolation precautions.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care during cardiac procedures.
- Adhere to procedural protocols and documentation requirements, including Cerner charting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a cardiac cath lab or interventional cardiology setting.
- Active license to practice as a Cath Lab Technician or equivalent.
- Certification in ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS.
- Experience with cardiac implant procedures, stent placements, catheterizations, and device management.
- Proficient in Cerner and familiar with Cerner documentation processes.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume acute care hospital, preferably a Level I trauma center.
- Hands-on experience with IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, rotablader atherectomy, and other advanced procedures.
- Knowledge of adult and older adult patient populations and age-specific competencies.
