- Full-time, Night shift, 13-16 week contract, on-site
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Oncology unit, administering chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and other treatments.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias, utilizing ERIC and Telemetry equipment.
- Manage oncologic emergencies such as tumor lysis syndrome and cytokine release syndrome.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Rapid Response Teams, to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall precautions.
- Document patient care accurately using computerized charting systems, primarily EPIC.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or the ability to obtain one.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- Experience with MS/Tele units and telemetry monitoring.
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage IV therapy, blood draws, and PICC line care.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Hematology/Oncology experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and oncologic procedures.
- Familiarity with blood product management and central line maintenance.
