Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele
Location: Garfield Heights, OH
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, day shift (7am-7:30pm), 3x12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical and Telemetry setting.
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, respond to patient needs, and ensure safety during medication administration.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards, including BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Obtain and maintain necessary licensure and certifications, including Ohio or Compact State licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg and Telemetry experience in a permanent position.
- Valid Ohio or Compact State Registered Nurse license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start.
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
- Submission of at least one recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Prior charge nurse or leadership experience.
