Key Responsibilities

• Provide pulmonary care for pediatric, neonatal, and adult patients in ambulatory clinics and hospital settings under physician supervision.
• Perform diagnostic procedures including spirometry, DLCO, FENO, body plethysmography, and six-minute walk tests.
• Manage ventilators, airway devices, and oxygen therapy, ensuring patient safety and optimal respiratory function.
• Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement respiratory care plans, and document clinical activities accurately.
• Assist with advanced procedures such as bronchoscopy support, waveform analysis, and polysomnography.
• Respond to emergency codes and participate in hospital quality and safety initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) or Registered Cardiopulmonary Therapist (RCP) in Texas.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Current NBRC registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in pediatric pulmonary and sleep clinics.
• Knowledge of advanced respiratory procedures such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy and nocturnal oximetry.
• Ability to operate complex respiratory equipment and conduct specialized tests.
