Key Responsibilities
• Provide high acuity nursing care to patients in an Oncology Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Stepdown setting.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and NS therapy, including managing PICC lines and central access devices.
• Respond to rapid response calls and utilize advanced airway management skills such as external CPAP/BIPAP and high flow nasal cannula.
• Maintain infection prevention protocols and ensure patient safety through fall prevention and accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio.
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical and/or ICU/high acuity nursing experience.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Certification preferred.
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Ability to float within units of similar or lower acuity levels.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with chemotherapy administration and monitoring.
• Management of IV insulin protocols and titration of cardiac drips.
• Knowledge of wound care, wound vacs, and arterial line management.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.

Note: This position involves working nights on a 36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit with a focus on high acuity care. Orientation includes a Monday-Friday dayshift first week, followed by 36 hours of on-unit training with a preceptor. Staffing ratios aim for 1:4-5, with variable weekend shifts.
