Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, days shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory / Electrophysiology (EP) lab.
• Circulate procedures including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations such as adult left and right heart catheterizations, pulmonary artery line monitoring, and Swan-Ganz catheter placement.
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Manage dysrhythmias interpretation and monitor patients during procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to meet patient care needs and ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid active Illinois nursing license.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in interventional cardiac cath lab setting.
• CPR, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and monitor procedural sedation.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Cerner electronic health record proficiency.
• Experience working in a Level I trauma hospital or similar acute care setting.
• Flexibility to float within scope to meet facility needs.
