Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for a telemetry unit, including assessments, medication administration, and basic EKG interpretation
• Perform dressing changes and monitor vital signs for patients with cardiac and vascular conditions
• Care for patients in medical cardiology, heart & lung surgery, and vascular surgery populations
• Assist with step-down and critical care patients using specialized equipment such as electronic charting systems, Pyxis, epidurals, PCA pumps, chest tubes, wound vacs, and IV Alaris pumps
• Maintain accurate documentation via electronic health records and ensure medication safety with barcode scanning
• Support floating to critical care units and med-surg departments, including MSICU, MSIMC, CICU, and occasionally other floors

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience
• Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Certifications including BLS and ACLS required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with electronic charting systems and medication management equipment
• Ability to adapt quickly to different hospital units and patient care needs
