Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the Intermediate Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, or Stepdown Unit during day shifts.
- Manage ventilator support, titrate pressors, insulin drips, and other critical medications.
- Monitor patients with tracheostomies, ventilators, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to protocols for titration of vasopressors, sedation, and insulin; perform bedside assessments regularly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care and ensure a smooth patient recovery.
- Document patient progress accurately using electronic health records (EPIC).
Required Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or pending license acceptance.
- At least 2 years of ICU or stepdown experience.
- Recent bedside experience within the last 6 months.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required.
- Comfortable managing ventilators, titration of pressors, insulin drips, and other critical care procedures.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an acute care hospital setting with a high-acuity patient population.
- Ability to float within scope and adapt to different unit needs.
- Knowledge of EPIC charting system.
