Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shifts, option of 36 or 48-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient nursing care to adult cardiac patients with critical or potential life-threatening conditions.
- Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease.
- Administer IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation.
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records using EPIC.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care and safety.
- Float to other units or campuses as needed within qualified areas.
Required Qualifications
- Active SC license or multistate license.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient RN experience in a cardiac stepdown or similar setting.
- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- EPIC electronic medical record experience.
- Experience caring for adult cardiac patients with complex conditions.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including every other weekend.
