Registered Nurse - ICU
Location: Columbus, OH
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shift (3x12's)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized care for ICU patients, including those with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID-19, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, and renal failure.
• Monitor and manage ventilators, telemetry, and related equipment.
• Administer medications, including IV starts and continuous glucose monitoring.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately using the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Perform specialized procedures such as externalized IV pump management for COVID+ patients and CRRT as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical ICU experience.
• Proficiency in EPIC documentation system.
• BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
• AHA certifications only.
• Skilled in IV starts and telemetry monitoring.
• Experience with ventilators and critical care equipment.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Proficiency in EPIC documentation system.

Specialized Experience in:

• Managing multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, and renal failure.

Special Procedures / Unit Details:

• Continuous Glucose Monitoring for hyperglycemia management.
• Externalized IV pumps for COVID+ patients.

Special Equipment Knowledge:

• NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pump, GE cardiac monitor, GE ventilator, and boom lift in each patient room.
