- Night shifts, 13-week contract, full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for adult and geriatric ICU patients, including ventilated patients.
- Manage cardiovascular cases, including open heart surgeries and balloon pump management.
- Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs).
- Administer blood products, IV insulin protocols, and manage central lines, PICC lines, and arterial lines.
- Perform suctioning, start IVs, and care for ventilated patients.
- Maintain compliance with ACLS, BLS, NIH, VIP, MAB, or CPI certifications; in-person courses only.
- Utilize self-scheduling and work every other weekend; no call requirement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, with cardiovascular and open heart care.
- Experience with balloon pump management.
- Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation, arterial line management, and ABG analysis.
- Valid ACLS and BLS certifications; in-person courses only.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-acuity ICU setting.
- Ability to interpret complex cardiac rhythms and manage ventilated patients.
- Knowledge of IV protocols and blood product administration.
