Registered Nurse PACU
Job Title
- Registered Nurse - PACU
Location
- Fort Worth, TX
Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, full-time, variable shifts (days), 13-week assignments
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in the PACU/Recovery unit
- Monitor patient vital signs and ensure safe recovery from anesthesia
- Document patient status and treatments accurately using Meditech system
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and address any issues
- Adhere to unit policies, including dress code, hygiene, and infection control standards
- Float as needed to other units within the hospital based on staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (temp licenses not accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital or specialized PACU experience
- Must have ICU or day surgery recovery experience preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proven PACU or post-anesthesia care experience
- Experience with electronic documentation systems, especially Meditech
- Strong adherence to safety, infection control, and patient care standards
