Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shifts, 3x12s (7 PM – 7:30 AM), rotating every 3rd weekend, on-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality imaging and patient care within CT and X-ray modalities
- Effectively explain procedures to patients and ensure their understanding and comfort
- Produce diagnostic images satisfactory for interpretation by licensed practitioners
- Adhere to safety protocols, including radiation safety and badge management
- Float within scope as needed to meet facility requirements, including similar units
Required Qualifications
- Must be registered in Radiography (ARRT) (R) and Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C)
- Valid SCRQSA certification
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of related imaging experience
- Ability to work night shifts and weekend rotations
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Emergency, Trauma, Pediatrics, Orthopedic exams experience
- Experience working with Siemens equipment
- Familiarity with EPIC and PACS systems
Radiation Safety Badge Requirement
- Agency-provided radiation badge required (MUSC does not supply badges for travelers)
Additional Details
- Radius rule: 60 miles (local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis at a 10% reduction)
- All time off must be approved at the time of submission; some RTO restrictions apply
- Guaranteed hours with call-offs permitted once every two weeks
- Parking cost applies only during nights and weekends; one-time fee of $20 for parking pass
- Hurricane season considerations: possible emergency response assignments from June to November
